Kochi: Fake notes worth Rs 25 lakhs were seized by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) from a passenger from Dubai at the Nedumbaseri International Airport here on Thursday.

The DRI seized these illegal notes from Gopinath, hailing
from Alapuzha . He reached the Nedumbasseri airport by the Emirates flight this morning.

It is learnt that the fake notes were printed in Pakistan. Gopinath told the DRI officials that the box was handed over to him saying that it contained toys. Interrogations are continuing.
