Massive signature campaign by SDPI for Madhani's release
KOZHIKODE: Demanding the withdrawal of cases charged and the release of PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madhani, who is in Bangalore jail, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the rechristained political wing of NDF, will submit a massive memorandum signed by 10 lakh people.

Addressing a press conference here today, P Abdul Majeed Faizi, General Secretary, SDPI Kerala Unit, said the signature campaign will be held from September 10 to 17.

A march will be organised to the Vidhan soudha at Bangalore and the memorandum will be submitted to the Karnataka Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa, on October 11, he said.

Criticising the Indian Union Muslim League, he alleged that the party which was functioning under the 'community label' had failed to raise their voice against the arrest of Madhani.
